Benefits to trustees members and/or connected persons
Within this service you can apply to the Commission for consent to change or add clause(s) which allow for benefits (including payments) to trustees, members and/or connected persons in your charity's governing document. You can not use this service to apply for consent for specific payments to individuals. If you want to make the change to allow for specific payments or you have been advised by the commission to make the change you can provide that information in the reasons for change.
You will be asked about the type of change you want to make and whether or not the charity's governing document currently has a clause which deals with benefits to trustees, members and/or connected persons. Please note that you do not need to make a change if you only want to pay trustee expenses. You can find further guidance on trustee benefits and the different types of benefits on our website.
